MWC Banned Some Russian Participants from Entry to the Fair!

According to information obtained by Reuters, Mobile World Congress organizers will ban some Russian companies from participating in the world’s largest mobile technology fair, which will be held between February 28 and March 3 . GSMA, the industry trade organization that organizes the event, officially shared that Russia Pavilion will not exhibit the country’s mobile products at the Barcelona-based event this year due to international sanctions imposed on Russia after it invaded Ukraine.

Although the GSMA strongly condemned the Ukrainian Invasion in a statement on its website, GSMA CEO John Hoffman told the Reuters team that there were no plans to cancel or reschedule the conference, but stated that they would continue to monitor the situation.

In addition, Hoffman stated that several Russian companies and their executives will be banned from entering the event, but he has not yet announced their names and stated that the sanctions list is developing.
